I was wondering if anyone has heard about Konami's heavily rumored plans to re-release MGS1-3 in HD for current-gen consoles. Two people now on AIM had heard about and brought it up to me independently. Anyone heard this?

News to me.
Personally, I don't see that working out too well, at least not for MGS1. The game only looks acceptable when played on the PSone. Even the PS2 sharpens it up too much. When you play the heliport part during MGS4, you get a good idea of what MGS1 would look like in HD. lol And it's scary.
MGS2 and MGS3 on the other hand could work out ok. Even though MGS1 would suffer, I would still be up for a package like that. MG1 and MG2 are translated to the PS2 now, so they can easily include those. Maybe a 2-disk Blu-ray set that contains all six main games, all scaled up to HD. I'm game for that. The series is hitting it's silver anniversary next year, so it would be a good time.
