Has anyone seen the trailer? www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5IVOs5Pxh8I'm excited for the first time in years, probably since we first began seeing trailers for MGS4. Wow, it looks great!

Yeah, I was shocked. The graphics far surpass MGS4. I'm really hoping this one completely kicks MPO out.

Hi guys! I'm new to the forum MGS GZ looks awesome! Anyway, i don't know if you guys have heard, but Kojima says that GZ is a prologue to MGS5. Some fans have been speculating that MGS5 will be a remake of MG1, what do ya'll think?

I would like MGS5 to lead into MG1. How about we play as Gray Fox to sneak into Outer Heaven? Leads right into MG1 and we still get Outer Heaven in 3D.

That would be really cool!
Watching the demo again. I'm sure glad Big Boss has finally done away with the bandana, now he looks more like he did in MGS4. PW screwed up by having him toss the bandana into the ocean, and then it still has him wearing it in the next scene. lol.
I was kind of hoping for a bigger time gap between PW & GZ, but based on what Miller was saying about Paz, it seems to take place only a few weeks after PW.
The reason i was hoping for a bigger time gap was so that maybe Richard Doyle could voice Big Boss instead of David Hayter. Nothing against Hayter, but Doyle did such a good job in 4, and it would help to further separate Snake from Big Boss, imo.

Agree 100%.
Hayter needs to step away from the Big Boss character. I like the idea of driving vehicles. Though honestly, it's sad to see the series follow the industry instead of leading it. A slicing game? 10 years ago it would've rocked. Open world? At least 5 years ago. Driving vehicles... Sigh...

I have no idea where they could take the story at this point, but it should be good, seeing as it's going to be a major PS3 release (Xbox too, I think).
Not sure what functionality vehicles will serve Snake - utilizing that sort of transportation would seem to make for an easier target, but then again, Snake/BB is a master at espionage and deception, so he could be driving through security checkpoints incognito.
How about a helicopter? It'd be great if he could access a helicopter at some point and lay some real damage down. Go all Rambo on them, ha ha.

So THIS is how Hideo Kojima feels, huh?
Everytime I think my interest in the MG series is over, BAM! Another big release comes in with a big fat cryptic trailer, and it just PULLS ME BACK AGAIN!
GAWD DAMMIT... *sigh*
I'll be playing MGS4 again now...

True.
If this one ends with Big Boss starting Fox Hound AND yet another prequel is announced, I'm calling bullsh*t, just FYI. Guy should just admit he f...cked up by having a fit and "retiring" Solid Snake and retcon the hell out of MGS4 if he wants to keep making games.
There's only so much you can do with prequels (specially ones that, I THINK, although fun, are widely unnecessary and are mostly just fluff) before the whole thing gets kind of ridiculous.
I mean, think about it, with Snake we had: MG1, MG2: SS, MGS, MGS2 (sort of, kind of), and MGS4.
With Big Boss we had: MGS3, Portable Ops, Peace Walker, and NOW MGS5.
Big Boss is one game way (well, two games if you don't count Portable Ops... which we don't) from having the same number of games starring Snake.
