After finishing MGSV, I found myself pretty much done with video games. Don't really have that much interest in any upcoming games right now. I'm planning on catching up on the Yakuza games and continue with Witcher 3, which I interrupted for MGSV and because I had a lot to do. But other than new Yakuza games and the upcoming Uncharted 4, I'm not really looking forward to anything upcoming... Anyone else having that feeling? Are you looking forward for upcoming games? Are you guys playing anything interesting right now?

Anyone else having that feeling? Are you looking forward for upcoming games? Well, quite a few games look pretty damn good. Which makes me SORELY TEMPTED to sell off my PS3 and the games it has. Some of the games that I'm looking at are... Watchdogs Until Dawn Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Siege Fallout 4 Star Wars Battlefront Batman Arkham Knight Not really, no. Not with a sh*tty TV and loads of activities.

Great. Is it any good right now? Do you play solo or online? Recently Final Fantasy XV sparked my interest (boygroup characters nonwithstanding).

FF is, like, one of those games that only HARDCORE VETERANS would play, seeing as the series spans almost every console. No offense, but you have to be a fanboy to actually own all the required consoles (that is, if you ARE looking at the series)

I used to play VII through X, back when I was a kid. XII I liked but was to busy at the time and XIII - well, the less is said about that game the better...
So, I wasn't planning on FFXV, but after playing Episode of Duscae (the Demo) and wjat I've seen in the recent "Uncovered" event, it sparked my interest. This could actually be a return to grace for Final Fantasy, after the great PS1/PS2 days.

I didn't make it past Chapter 4 or so. The characters were terrible, the linearity was awful (exploration was always a big appeal to me), the story was so convoluted and relegated information that was vital to understand what was going on to an ingame glossary. The only thing that was any good, apart from the visuals, was the battle system and even that opened up only very slowly, very gradually. And then I could never get into the sequels. I saw bits of story of XIII-2 (which was awful) and while Lightning Returns seemed interesting, I couldn't get past what I saw of the story and the ridiculous outfits Lightning is wearing in that game, which do not fit at all with what the character seems to be. I resumed The Witcher 3 again after a lengthy break. Now, I'm usually not that much into western RPGs, but this game is just amazing. Great engaging story, great characters, solid battle system, believable and very well crafted world, meaningful side-quest with actual storylines (instead of Ubisoft fetch quests and generic stuff), interesting character choices that are far from being black and white and with sometimes surprising consequences hours later. A game that rewards exploration and constantly surprises me and has kept me engaged so far. It also refrains from the horrible DLC policies of our time and gives you tons of bonus content for free, save for 2 very traditional very large expansion packs. If you guys have never played it and are looking for a really well crafted game to sink hours into, I definitely recommend it, even if this type of game usually isn't your cup of tea. Sorry, that was my love letter to Witcher 3 . It's not perfect of course, but for a relatively low budget eastern european game it definitely owns the major open world makers these days (I'm looking at you, Ubisoft).

Well, I played Skyrim some time back, and the amount of options you have is just mind-blowing, overwhelms you in almost every sense. From the main quest to branching out and exploring the side missions, nothing can beat that game...at least nothing I have seen.
As for another series, Dark Souls looks pretty damn badass. It's all abut dying, learning enemy attack patterns... Y'know, that game is a classic example of how one must 'know thy enemy' to win the war.

True, since The Witcher gives you an established character, it doesn't offer you as much as Skyrim or Dragon Age when it comes to customization. However, fighting is really superior to Skyrim imo, because it is much more fluent with dodging, strifing, blocking, counter attacks and of course magic. Skyrim by comparison is much more clunky. Don't get me wrong, Skyrim is by far one of the best games out there and in terms of world interaction and customization superior to The Witcher. However, The Witcher makes this up with great characters and a story that is engaging even if you haven't played any of the previous games or read any of the books the games are based on. I other words, Skyrim and The Witcher want different things and are, in my opinion, both the best in what they do.
Dark Souls - yep, I bought the first one recently pretty cheap. Once I'm done with The Witcher, this'll be my next "project". But that may still take a while. Have you played it?

Basically The Witcher 3 can be described as the combat of Dark Souls without the punishing difficulty meets the open world of skyrim plus the non-linear storytelling of Telltale games or Life is Strange.

It was an episodic Adventure game that was released over the course of the last year. It's usually not my kind of game and I got it for me and my girlfriend. But it really has a pretty good story and also gives you a number of choices that permanently change some relationships. Especially towards the end it gets really heavy and has this weird progressively depressing atmosphere. However, I do have to warn you, the ending is Mass Effect 3 all over again - binary choice and all. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsqeNTYfUBUReally great, if you want to give an adventure game a chance and like this sort of story.

But it really has a pretty good story and also gives you a number of choices that permanently change some relationships. But dude, look, gazillions of other games actually allow you to have multiple options. Silent Hill, each game, has its own set of endings, determined by what choices you make. Binary Domain requires you to issue orders that make or break your team (both in story and gameplay). Until Dawn allows you to cause each character to survive or die depending on specific actions. Walking Dead leaves the most difficult choices for the living. XCOM: Enemy Unknown puts the whole world in your hands. Spec Ops: The Line is an unremitting deluge of tough-calls. Skyrim's Chosen One still has many choices to make. Heavy Rain is all tough choice and grim consequence... Games incorporate sh*t like this all the farking time.
