So? I didn't say that was something only this game does. Also, while many games do that, it's not always well implemented. For instance, in many RPGs your dialog options usually boil down to "be a jerk" or "do something good" or "do nothing". The witcher 3 on the other hand handles this exceptionally well with actual decisions where all options are often neither right nor wrong. And those decisions shape the story quite noticably, which also isn't always the case.
As for Skyrim: Freedom of Choice in Gameplay isn't the same thing. The story of Skyrim does only take one course, There aren't multiple endings or anything. But that isn't the appeal of Skyrim, of course.

Fallout 3 for instance. Or KOTOR. Basically your dialog options are being nice or being mean or just asking neutral questions about the goings-on.

I just love it how it's possible for an individual to have their own "personal canon". I don't see what's wrong with that. People in the Silent Hill community do it all the time (and many flamewars have happened as a result, lmfao).

Decisions you make in each SH game determine the specific endings. There are good ones, bad ones, UFO...hell, even a farking JOKE ending! LMFAO
