It’s a tough one! For me I have to say it’s either MGS2 or Twin Snakes. MGS2 has a longer wait and more trailers to get excited about. But Twin Snakes was taking my two favorite games and combing them. It’s interesting, in early 2004 I was far more hyped for Twin Snakes than MGS3! lol How wrong I was!

MGS2 definitely put a spin to thingd and twisted conventions around MGS3 was even more complicated with the enemy base now even FURTHER away than previous games

Did you follow the advertisements of both games?

Then I don’t get your reply. The topic is what game you were most hyped to play. Do you know what that means? Not being mean, just seriously not sure you got the topic.

Listen, don't obsess over words so much. Find the meaning behind the words, then decide.

Probably the even-numbered ones. MGS2, MGS4 and MGSV (which is basically MGS6, with MPW being MGS5).
I watched all the trailers. Of the three, probably MGS4 the most.
MGS3 also flew under my radar and MPW was just a spin-off to me and because of it caught me completely off guard. Both MGS3 and MPW actually.
EDIT: Ironaically, I think I like the ones I was less hyped for more. MGS1, MGS3 and MPW are fairly straightforward and tell relatively contained stories, while MGS2, MGS4 and MGSV build on earlier games, complicate the lore and play more with player expectations.
