So I was doing my run through MGS3 and just had to look at that photo in Granin’s office. His “friend in America”. Peace Walker stated that it was Huey, but it doesn’t add up, Huey is confirmed, as far back as MGS1, as being born in 1945. That means during Snake Eater he is just 19 years old. The photo would’ve been taken earlier so he would be 18 at the oldest (since he would turn 19 in August 1964). That does not look like a teenager. static.wikia.nocookie.net/metalgear/images/c/c4/Granin_%26_Emmerich.png/revision/latest?cb=20130212130503

He seems pretty intelligent, just morally bankrupt.

I was referring to his appearance. The Emmerich in the Granin photo looks like a man in his 40s, not a teenager.

I was referring to his appearance. The Emmerich in the Granin photo looks like a man in his 40s, not a teenager. Isn’t it possible that Granin corresponded with both? I picture him corresponding with Grandpa Emmerich first and then as Huey comes of age and has stuff to say, they also write? Otherwise yeah, it’s a Minor continuity error, as Emmerich in the MGS3 artwork (if he is indeed Huey) looks older than Huey was around that time. Ultimately, it’s such a tiny thing, I barely even care, tbh. I was first more annoyed at the fact that Huey was basically Otacon - whiny - working legs in Peace Walker. And I was so happy that he was revealed to be this hypocritical morally flexible piece of ****, quite the opposite of his son. And yet, he still was completely right about Diamond Dogs. That was awesome writing and subversion of expectations.
