In official history, the two NSA-codebreakers who defected in 1960 were gay. Unfortunately, Tanya wasn't one of those, but Ocelot was. And since at least Raikov was gay, even in Kojima's universe, does that mean Ocelot was that too?
I wouldn't mind if so was the case, if anyone wonders.

What the...? Well, I don't think he's gay. Kojima can change history anyway he wants. And we all know that.

Yeah, well, one of the defectors was gay on MGS3, so why wouldn'y the other one - Ocelot - be?

Has it occured to any of you that Ocelot was not one of the defectors either? Eva wasn't, and I doubt Ocelot was either. I can't see the son of a legendary mercenary, raised and trained by the Philosophers being a codebreaker. Sorry. Ocelot is not a homo, and there is no proof of that.

I never said he was homo. It was a question. And whoelse would the other codebreaker be? And Raidenovich and Ocelot is about the same age. At least looks like it. AND, the both have the rank of Major!

But what do the facts that they are both the same age and ranked Major with that they might be gay? I don't see a connection.
I might have understood your post wrong, forive me if I did.

If Ocelot and Raidenovich was the two defectors, are both of them gay? We know one is, but is Ocelot that too?
And AG, maybe they weren't codebreakers. Maybe that was just coverstories or something. Maybe they are both moles?

What I'm confused about is where or when it says that the two codebreakers were gay? Eva says they were both male, I know, but where does it say they were also gay?
Edit: Oh wait, you said official history, not Metal Gear history. You looked that up then I'm assuming.

No. I think I heard them say something about it in the Codec. However, I learned of it when I was researching for a novel I was writing. I was reading about white hat hacking and codebreaking when I stumbled over NSA-history.

Who was supposed to defect? Who did defect?
Defect from what?

The more important question:
Why does it matter? Why is everyone so obsessed with who is and isn't gay?

I've known Ocelot since 97. But if he's gay, then my picture of him has been wrong all the time.

No it hasn't. In your picture he's straight, in the other one he's gay. It doesn't make him any different. It just makes him interested in a dfferent gender. I don't know WHY that would be important as a part of Ocelot's character anyway. It's not like he ever has any tender moments with anyone in the whole series.

If I was Ocelot, and if I was gay, then I'd definately get sexually arrused hearing Snake talk... Grrr...
But okay, let's change this question a little, but still remain on topic: Does anyone, like me, think Ocelot and Raidenovich were the two NSA agents who defected to the Sovjet Union in 1960?
If we leave the real world's facts, I'd say that maybe they weren't code-breakers, and not even NSA employees at all. They could have been moles placed in Sovjet by the US branch of The Philosophers.
