I was just replaying the end of MGS3, and... I'm not sure I want another MG game. Yeah, you heard me right.
The ending is just so damn perfect. Game 5 takes you right to the beginning of game 1. The loop is connected now.
Adding another one... it just seems to be out of place. Even if it does continue the Solid Snake adventures. If the next game takes place after MGS2, then MGS3 is like a fish out of water. A prequal in MIDDLE of the timeline.

That's what I said earlier.
I really think it just should have ended with MGS3.
In fact I didn't even like MGS3. the only good thing was the end.

I think the series should end with SS dying. I dont know why but it would be drematical.

AG, don't you wanna know what will happen with Olga's child, if the Metal Gear REX will be mass produced, what will happen to the RAY Ocelot stole (Solid Snake had putted a transmitter on it), etc. etc.?

Yeah, I guess, but if I don't I can live with it. It's just that the whole Liquid and Ocelot sharing a body is too far fetched. And Metal Gear isn't a secret weapon anymore. I don't know... it's kinda stale.

I think the series should end with SS dying. I dont know why but it would be drematical. I agree - everyone I mention this to thinks I'm crazy, but I'm all for main characters dying at the end of their plotlines - look at Star Wars with Obi-Wan, or if you feel like looking at the whole big-ass plotline of I-VI, then Anakin's death; Romeo and Juliet; Julius Caesar; Hamlet (I know, 3 Shakespeare plays)... it gives the story a finality and, yes, it's usually done very dramatically. Snake should die destroying the final Metal Gear, and should kill Ocelot/Liquid at the same time. Bad thing: Konami execs might see using Raiden as future sequel fodder...so...kill Raiden too, just to be sure.

No, just end the series right now.
Metal Gear, Game Over, no hitting continue it is game over forever.
And yes Jackyl I don't like MGS3.

Yes, I think I'd like to see Snake die. Kojima was originally going to make him die in MGS2 with the sinking of the tanker, thus the new character Raiden. I would like to see Solid Snake's death be the stuff of legend...kind of like Jessie James' death or Billy the Kid's supposed death in Young Guns II, where we find out that the narrator in the very end is actually Billy and that he didn't die. I'd like to see him either disappear or sacrifice himself in some ultimate, ultimate way. I think it would be perfect that him sacrificing his life would be to somehow destroy the Patriots forever.

I think it would have been a bit anti-climactic for Snake to die in the tanker, I'm glad they didn't go through with it.

I'd like to see Snake die at the end. But unlike the Boss's death, everyone would know who Snake was and all he did to help mankind, that would show just how much Snake changed the world from a controlled world by the Patriots that heroes were not known to public before(Boss).

Porblem with that is that as far as the public is concerned Solid Snake died in the tanker.

This would be the coolest thing to happen to MGS......
A two player MGS game where you go through the game somone playing as raiden and somone as snake!!! It would be pritty mad! It will be a whole lot better on next gen consoles were you can play wireless and use two TV's with 1 console(so you can use Fist person view without having to use split screen) And also the option to play online would be pritty cool.
Its possible! it just needs more thought in the idea. And would be a change from the usual MG game. NO dont say it would be good on PSP cause it wouldnt there isnt enough buttons. (Eg. The Xbox substance version you have to push the joystick in to look in FP)
And it needs to be next gen graphics so PSP still out of the question.
What do you guys think....

Normally I wouldn't do this, but I just have to get a source, Jackyl. Are you sure this isn't just built on the rumour circulating when the Tanker trailers were put online? I mean, the "thing" with SoL is that you see Snake from another Raiden's eyes. That way the theme can be expressed. That was the basic concept from planning stage.
