"Kojima Productions" has just embarked on its newest and greatest project - "Metal Gear Solid 4." "MGS1" and "MGS2" focused on infiltrating man-made structures, whereas "MGS3" concentrated on the challenge of the jungle environment.
"MGS4" brings a totally new concept and situation, resulting in the toughest "Metal Gear" infiltration mission ever devised.
The game is set after the events of "MGS2" and players will reprise the role of top secret agent Solid Snake. The game is slated for the "PS3TM," the next generation console from Sony.
Hideo Kojima will be in charge of game design, production, and direction. Also directing this game will be promising new prospect Shuyo Murata, who debuted on "Zone of the Enders: the 2nd Runner." Kenichiro Imaizumi will oversee production and character design will be handled by Yoji Shinkawa.
All of the intensity and experience available within "Kojima Productions" will be used to bring this newest "MGS" to life.
OMG I CANT WAIT FOR THIS GAME MERYL AND NAOMI ARE BACK!!! But who is the skinny guy with the eyepatch and who is the girl with a sword and i think a broken arm???

Great news, I think the one with the eyepatch is actually Big Boss wich kinda resemebles the pics of him in the Shinkawa artbook. And the one holding the sword is Raiden I think.

The one with the eyepatch gets me curious as well. IT can't be Solidus, he lost his other eye. Perhaps they saved Big Boss' head and fitted him with a cybernetic body?

Perhaps they saved Big Boss' head and fitted him with a cybernetic body? are you sure it was solidus' other eye? if so, i'm positive that's big boss. it looks like his original decayed body (even though he was burnt to ashes in part 2). him making a return might explain why kojima went back and told big boss' beginnings with mgs3.

Solidus lost his left eye when Raiden fought him on the Big Shell. Big Boss' right eye was shot out by some discharge from Ocelot's gun during a torture session during his mission at Tselinoyarsk. The mystery man (possibly Big Boss) has a patch over his right eye, not his left. So, unless he found a way to swtich which eye he lost (as if it matters), it's not Solidus.

AC!D isnt a big deal to most MG gamers.
I was thinking about what the kind of stealth GMS4 will have and it had me thinking.
The whole theme of MGS2 was things around you not being real or it all being in your mind. Maybe you are somehow in somones thoughts or something? I dunno just a thuoght I don't want it like that
I cannot describe how happy I am.

My first MGS4 theory: I think Solid Snake will loose his eye, and in a sense follow in his father's footsteps.

Why? He would against his will become his father. Nice contrast to Solidus wanting to become Big Boss.

I think it's unnecessary for Snake to lose an eye. It really wouldnn't serve any overall plot purpose.

It would be pretty stupid really. I mean come on, everyone lose an eye yay go go go poke your eye out. I say the dude with the eyepatch is some clone gone wrong, like in Alien: Resurection, almost fine but still retarded you know?
