MGS4 Trailer.... SPOILERS!!!!

Well, for those not keeping track, Gamespot had the Sony press conference for live streaming, but now its been taken down, so we cant watch it yet. Luckily, I was able to watch it before that happened and they released the trailer for MGS4.

If you dont wanna be spoiled, and wanna see the trailer first for yourselves, then stop reading...


SPOLERS NOW

I was only able to watched it once, so I cant remember everything. It starts off with Snake sitting down smoking a good ol' cigar and he's narrating talkin about war. How much it's changed. Talkin about ID-tagged weapons keyed to ID-tagged soldiers, nanomachines, about how the battlefield is controlled and everything. During his speech, we see scenes of a war going on and the city we had seen on the previous trailer. We see those MG's attacking some soldiers. Then out of nowhere, this Ninja appears taking down one of the MG's and Snake sees him, and all he could do is drop his jaw. Then we see names of some of the characters that will be appearing. First is Naomi Hunter, she says something about not passing on our sins to the future generation. Roy Campbell appears saying "You're our only hope", probably talkin to Snake. Then we see Meryl, with a new outfit, saying "We're the new FOXHOUND," it's unclear whos she talking to. Liquid Ocelot appears but I forgot what he says. Also, Otacon appears, dont remember what he says.Then we see the the name Raiden... and that Ninja we saw earlier, yup that's Raiden. And DAMN, he looks freaking BADASS. Like he went through an extreme makeover! he says "It's my turn t protect you, Snake." And finally, back to Snake, continuing his speech about war. Hes still sitting down... and slowly puts his gun to his mouth and when the gunshot is heard, the whole screen wholes black and the new MGS4 logo appears..

Though I wonder why they bother showing Snake in a suicide situation? Kojima already stated that Snake won't die. And they do showing soluting at the grave, just as in MGS3 and Big Boss. I bet that'll be the ending.

In the trailer, that blackhawk helicopter lands at Arlington cemetary, and Campbell was in the chopper so I guess they were visiting for some reason. And you see Snake salute but whos grave was it?

I thought there was a playable demo after the 2nd trailer...like when E3 is open to everyone. The press conference of all 3 companies has to do there "say so" before anything is playable to the "public".

Well here is a collage I made for TSOBB. That I got from Jackyl, thanks again. Everyone looks nothing like they previously did, everyone has evolved from what they were. I mean look at Ocelot, dont look like the one we would expect. Possibly since Liquid takes such a control over him, maybe he incorperated some of his tastes like the glasses and the suit, and not western clothing. When Ocelot mentions Abel and Eve. He speaks of Cain and Abel, the sons of Adamn and Eve from the bible. Cain killed his brother Abel due to jealously for his loyality towards God. Abel was the brother of light, Cain was the brother of Dark, But who is the Eve he speaks of? Here come the newbies "OMG I TOLD YOU EVA WAS HIS MOTHER!!!" ~_~. Also, was'nt Kojima making Snake a tad younger? And why the white white hair? Possibly proving Snake's true hair color was Blonde? Blonde hair goes to completely white, while brown goes to gray. I prefer the Snake from the TGS trailer, I personally don't like how he looks at all from this trailer. Also, the gun in the mouth, maybe it is true and Kojima isnt playing mind games with us. Possibly they need something from him so he trys, I say trys to end his life. As AG said Snake saluting will be the end of the game and I completely agree with that, I can just sense it. Just the question is, which headstone is he saluting? I doubt it would be the Boss, why her true self and what she did for her country would just come out of the woodwork. He's saluting someone else entirely, possibly the buried remains of Big Boss? Maybe they finally gave him a proper burial. I dont know I just wanted to say that.

P.S. I personally don't like made Raiden compared to Snake. "I'll protect you now." OMG, I dont want Snake looking like a chump to Raiden. After the years after SOL, we finally get to play as Snake again, and we get an old guy outclassed by the white fairy. I mean atleast make Snake a bit younger and it would level out.

EDIT ALSO, I was just looking at the new logo for the game. It's 3 upside down 7's possibly a release date 7/7/07? July 7th of 2007?

I can't see Snake soluting Big Boss. For what? The man is puting a gun in his mouth to end the legacy and bloodline of Big Boss!

As much as I liked the trailer, the camo snake used I incorparated into my fanfiction months ago. Either, he has scouts, hes psychic, or great minds think alike "Either Solid Snake is dead. Or there are two of them."

I mean if I seen it in GOTP first I wouldnt have used the idea. But I mean cmon, I have dozens of people who seen it in my fic first. Sorry for hijacking the thread about that. Just I wanted to say it. Back on topic, I really like the fact now that he's older, and he's slowly dying. A mod of mine suggested that was Frank Jaeger's grave. That is not the same cemetary as MGS3.

Yeah, that makes sense. Otacon and Gray Fox are about the only two that Snake would visit at a grave like that. Gray Fox is the more likely of the two.
