some speculate that 'you have six months to live' to be said at the end of the game, hence leave snake to live for some more time...

That'd make some sence really. Then the suicide scene thing could be at the end of the game, leaving him with the barrel in his mouth.

I actually would like to see Snake die. Maybe not by suicide, but during battle. I dont know, something totally kickass. You dont see many great stories like the MG where the main character dies. It would make for an emotional, and very impacting ending to the story of Solid Snake.

Maybe snake shoots himself in the end but fails and ends up in a coma or something and the game ends with a scene with him lying in a hospital bed, or something.

Wow. No no no. There's gonna be a catch. Kojima isn't going to end the game with Snake putting a barrel in his mouth. Not a cliffhanger. Konichiwa! TO BE CONTINUED! Nuh unh. Not even in hell would an MG game end like that. But Snake isn't just gonna put a bullet through his head to end the game. There's gotta be more. A twist.

Maybe Snake puts the gun in his mouth like in the trailer, then WE have to pull the trigger, like with The Boss! And in all probability, we won't do it. Maybe that's what Kojima thought of when he said that, Arsenal?  |

Yeah, but if you don't pull the trigger than what? The game just sits there forever? If that's the case, then Snake has to end up shooting himself plot-wise, regardless of it being an interactive moment or not.

Or realizes that's what the Patriots would want. That would be an awesome scene what you guys have been describing. There's Snake, the camera pans out just slightly and it's just him sitting there with the gun barrel in his mouth...
Maybe you could hear his thoughts at this point, since you are essentially Snake, and he'd be going back and forth with himself saying the same thing..."What's the use...." then "No...not yet." If you pull the trigger, a Game Over screen comes up and you'd have to play the scene again until you got it right. If you don't pull the triggger, eventually he snaps to, tosses the gun aside in disgust and says "No, the Patriots would probably want this. I'm the only one who can still stop them. I can't give up now." And then he'd become reinvigorated with a new sense of purposefulness.
