Well AG, it looks like your campaign to become the Internet Metal Gear Czar is grown ever so slightly.
Because one of your biggest competetions has just died. That's right. The Snake Soup is no more.
It's been down for a couple of day, and Ravi just confirmed it was dead. "Yes, The 'Soup is dead." His exact quote.
And I don't know about Jackyl and MGC, but I still think you 2 should collaborte. That would be grandiose.

Well, I gave Ravi 2 years and said he'd get sick of it... and he did. What can I say, the Soup was a good example of what to do with virtually unlimited about of space. It was strong site, and the MG community suffers a major loss, no question there... But that this mean he has to give back the money that some people donated?
In all honesty, there really isn't anyone left, now that I think about it. Let's look at the big one:
Metal Gear Net: Still there, almost a decade now. But it hasn't been updated in a year and a half. And it never really had any info on it to begin with.
Snake Soup: Dead
Confidential: Suspended
The Snake Hole: Dead
To my knowledge, those are the only MG sites that have been around for a while. All other ones are fairly new I believe.
What can I say, Metal Gear is making less and less of an impact now. The site competition is gone. I'm in the same category. I don't really have the huge desire to rework the site. There are still things I need to update though, but I just haven't got around to it. I suppose I should, since we may be one of the few left.
Speaking of which, you think Ravi would post here ever again?

AG, it's your duty to pass on the torch. You have one of the oldest MG websites on the web. Show your strength and don't let it die out as the Soup. And as your saying. Now that Ravi's site is dead he might make a return on the MGF forum?

As long as Homestead keeps my account, MGF will stand tall. I may not update as often as I should, but I'll keep it up.

the only reason that it dies down is because there isnt stuff going on while there creating the game sure we get alot of therioes and ideas but we have to do something else to get excited while there building so we dont lose members or anything

Actually it died down because he couldn't afford to pay for the space anymore.

o i had gone there and there was quite alot of stuff there its was a pretty nice site but this one is better
you should also make that media forum thingy usable again instead of it as an archive it would get used a ton with the so called "peace time" between titles

To those that care, the Snake Soup is back. They got a new host with someone... or other... whatever. Ravi isn't the site owner anymore and it seems the site may or may NOT cover the upcomming MG titles. The forums seem to have started a new. I personally don't care, but thought some of you should know. thesnakesoup.sonicunited.org/

Ravi was an ass anyway. I never cared for the soup to begin with.

Pha! The Soup, still the worst place to talk about MG. But now that Ravi's gone the site might finally show it's best?

Besides, The Soup won't get any better with someone else hosting it. And we all know it sucked when Ravi was there.
